One (1) 60-minute coaching session with Stephen, to be held either in-person at Stephen’s studio or online via Zoom.

Advice on how to effectively teach pieces, styles, techniques, etc.

Aural skills/ear training
Guidance in exploring new repertoire
Accompanying skills
Improvisation in various styles
Playing by ear, making up accompaniments
Coaching duos and chamber groups
Deep dive into composers, style eras, music history, culture and meaning of music
How to play from chord symbols (aka lead sheets or fake books)
How to realize figured bass
Score reading and transposing
Reading open choral scores
Advanced rhythmic skills (complex meters, polyrhythms, free notation, etc.)
